Analysis: Einstein is an old-style horse in the best sense; he raced from age three to seven and won every year, with his best races coming as an older horse--he won GI races at four, six and seven years old, and defeated such remarkable runners as Cloudy's Knight, Artiste Royal, Dancing Forever, Thorn Song, Cosmonaut, Champs Elysees, Magna Graduate, Cowboy Cal and Court Vision. Meanwhile, this colt's damsire Afleet Alex is a solid-looking horse, but seems lacking in the shoulder and leg; the cross of an Afleet Alex mare with Einstein has produced a sturdy colt with Einstein upgrades: long legs, a neat topline and tightly-packed, waste-nothing musculature on the shoulder and haunch.
