...that I'll Have Another, before the Preakness Stakes, looked about as good as any racehorse I've ever seen. Every other colt in the field was sweating like a pig, slick and shining in the heat, as the Derby winner sauntered copper-bright through the post parade with a slightly dampened neck, if that. This horse's blood runs alternately ice cold and white hot, and the kid on his back seems to have perfected the art of flipping that switch.

I admit that I screamed at the TV for most of the stretch drive, and then almost cried my contacts out. I REGRET NOTHING

Hey Baffert, how's it feel training Alydar?

So now that I'll Have Another has won both the Preakness and the Derby, do you think that he has a chance at the Belmont or do you think Bodemeister will beat him by a neck (a la Curlin and Rags to Riches)?

All I can say right now is that a) he looked like a horse in the best shape of his life before the race and b) his pedigree is Belmont City. He was bred for 12 furlongs through and through and through again. I do have a feeling that Baffert will want to rest Bodemeister now, though wouldn't it be fantastic to see him come back and play Alydar again?

It would be very cool. Would also put my faith back into the racing TB bloodstock. Make it so that there is a possibility of another Triple Crown winner instead of just the first two legs.

Going to the Preakness after all! :D *spazz attack* Who would you bet on? :3 I'll try to put a $2 bid, just for kicks, lol.

I just about died. For reals. We had tickets for the 13th race (right after the Preakness) because one of the boarders at the barn I work at magically met this guy last night who's father owned a horse running in that race, so he just decided to give her a bunch of tickets for free. xD How awesome. We were in the "apron" (literally GLUED to the rail, I kid you not. It was epic), a few strides in front of the finish line. My camera's unfortunately broken, so I just have dark, blurry pics, but the experience was.. needless to say, a once in a lifetime deali-o. :D The best part is that when I was deciding on who to bet, beforehand, I chose I'll Have Another because my inner child wanted to root for a Triple Crown hopeful, and bam, he wins by a freaking head right in front of us, out of the blue. I still haven't watched the replay or really SEEN the full race, but, AH. It was ridiculous, totally unreal. I feel like I'm dreaming!
